Ceramics Workshop: Bee-Themed Tiles

Session 1: Design and Creation

• Introduction to Tile Making: Begin with an overview of the basics of working with clay, including rolling, cutting, and shaping tiles.
• Design Techniques: Learn various techniques for designing intricate bee and honeycomb patterns using tools and hand-carving methods.
• Texturing and Stamping: Explore ways to add texture to your tiles using stamps, natural objects, and other tools to create unique, tactile surfaces.
• Initial Tile Creation: Spend the session designing, cutting, and shaping your tiles, focusing on perfecting your bee-themed designs.

Session 2: Glazing and Finishing

• Review and Preparation: Start with a brief review of the previous session and prepare your tiles for glazing.
• Glazing Techniques: Dive into the glazing process, including how to apply and layer glazes to enhance your designs. Learn tips for achieving vibrant colors and finishes.
• Final Touches: Apply the glazes to your tiles, making sure to bring out the best in your bee-themed designs.
• Kiln Firing: Understand the kiln firing process and how it transforms your clay pieces into durable ceramic art. 

Your tiles will be fired after the session and ready for pick-up at a later date.
